Broken

Being so broken or aggravated

that

you start to shed tears,

you feel the warm water coming from the back of your eyes.

You tilt your head backwards to see if there’s a returning back

but you can’t stop those tears from dripping down anymore

there goes the first tear,

second tear

and the third tear

you’re still determined to hold them in

but you can’t do anything about it.

you wish you can stop them but

the only thing you can do is cry,

cry tears of frustration

because you really don’t want your eyes to become pools of salty water

The feeling of wet tears flowing down

your rosy cheeks

becomes extremely annoying

your heart is pounding

you can feel the desire of it wanting to come out of your

body

you can’t catch your breathe

the crying is taking over you

it gets harder to breathe by the second

You look at your surroundings and think

“They probably think I’m weak”

But little did they know that those tears were from all the pain you’ve kept inside

That you’ve been hurting all this time

And those tears were the end of your

pain

The crying continues

You try to be quiet so no one else hears

You want to vanish,

find somewhere isolated to be

The Sahara desert seems like a good place at the moment

or the middle of the Pacific ocean

But all you can do is stand there, almost paralyzed

Now you have to wait for everything to be gone;

the tears, the pain, the people.

Your heart rate starts to slow down

You’re finally alone,

calm,

its easier to breathe

and as time moves slowly

You’re happy again.

That irritating feeling of crying doesn’t seem so vexing after all,

because you’re happy now

and nothing else matters anymore
