To My Brother

To My Brother
I remember when
I was young
My bro and I
Used to always play together

I remember when
I enter in his dark-green bedroom
Opening his old boxes plenty of toys
With legos we were making stories
With cars we were racing
With all of that we were laughing

I remember when
I had to wake up him the morning
Knocking at his door
Until he got out
To take me in his arms

I remember when
We were skiing together
To see who first
Is going to make the 360
On our favorite jump

I remember when
He taught me how to draw
When his big hand
Had just put on mine
To show me the delicate movements of this art

And I remember when
He was telling me
That I was his favorite
Little brother

But I remember when
He left us
To do his studies
He went to England

I remember that day
When my mom was crying
And I was sad

Five years after
When he came back
With his diploma
He was proud
But I knew that
He changed a lot

Now he’s married
And he got a job
When I ask him to play
He responds me “Not now, I’m busy”

And when I enter
In his dark-green bedroom
I can’t stop wishing
That my memories

Come real again.
