Two Painted Souls

Performance Poem
Two Painted Souls
Period 6
February 9, 2016

All the turning and throwing,
All the pain and regrets,
All one soul can wish for but not hope to meet it.
At least not yet.
Hope is still there and
pray no impatience.
keeping in mind that this wasn’t
always their actions.
Keeping in thought how it used to be
How two blood lines used to join and
share their bonds.
How to imagine them in younger eyes of innocence
White roses would’ve grown into a crown on their heads and white wings would’ve grow on their backs.
No yelling.
A meaning of peace and hope in this war.
Sharing smiles and glee of care and respect.
As they should laugh and hug each other.
To show “affection,” to love each other.
Both fly into each other’s souls
Like sisters who they are fated to be
and not enemies from movies
Like hearts that understand one
another with folded arms
Like searching for a hand and not a doorknob
Like searching for a missing boat eaten by the ocean.
To say something that can change them
To stop them from losing each other
They should welcome each other with no difficulty
To surprise each other and make them turn around
Face to face,
They should take each other into a room full of shine and sisterhood
With no regrets
With no hesitation
With no anger
To say “I need you”
And the one who is a standing witness is silent and tired of counting too many years of endless hope to seeing a poor growth between sisters
To stop watching this endless error that keeps happening countless of times
Two older sisters that should end what they started
