Title: What I want
What I want
I want to see a world without war
without prejudice
and without bullying
To see people treated like humans not slaves
To see the homeless sheltered and fed
I want to hear children having fun not working at a young age to support themselves
This is a problem with the world that seems to never get fixed
Adults abandoning their children for their own safety
Parents acting as if their children aren’t there
Children getting constantly bullied
Teens slitting their wrists because of depression or for fun
Teens committing suicide because of people who think that it’s just a prank
Adults who never received an education and are unemployed
These are just some of the many horrible problems there are in the world
I hope that one day that this is something that can be fixed
But it’s not like I grew up that way,
I had been lucky
to be in a family that gives me so much
Helps me so much
This could’ve been very different
Just one person can send your life flying out of control
I could have been a child in the streets or a child without food or is forced to do labor
Next time you see someone who’s in need, don’t be afraid and help create a better future,
for generations to come, for if we don’t, the world will be in a perilous situation
This is really good and inspirational
ReplyDeleteI like how there is a message to this poem for awareness that it's okay to help! What a great poem, good job.
