Earth to the Sun
You are my sunshine.
Cliche, I know.
But you are.
You’re the love and the light in my life,
the only one who can make my day bright
You are my whole world
and that’s coming from someone
who actually contains a whole world
they said you were too hot for me,
but you make me feel alive, and free
You can bring light to any situation,
whether it’s global warming, or overpopulation
The rain tries to keep me from you during the day
but she's too clingy, trying to move in and stay forever
But you're not like that, never
You come in the morning and leave at night
But when you're here you bring my happiness to a new height.
I can't wait until morning when you dawn,
when you're not there I´m just something for humans to walk on
My world revolves around you
without you, I’d be nothing
I think it was a really cute poem with many little metaphors like, the rain tries to keep you from me in the day, but she's too clingy.
ReplyDeleteThat was really cute because I felt like you did a good job using extended metaphors. (i.e: global warming)
ReplyDeleteThis is really interesting and creative.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed how you used metaphors to relate the relationship between the Earth and the Sun to how they are in real life.
ReplyDeleteI really liked the use of metaphors in your poem, like comparing the Earth and sun to people. This was Great Arushi. :)
