I love you Mom

I love you mom
I love how you take care of me
Even though I am more mature than I was before
You don't want me to make dumb decisions or get hurt
I love it when you tell me that you love me
After I accomplished something difficult and after you come back from work

love it when you buy me soccer cleats
You know that I am very picky on them
I always tell you to buy me the ones that I want
And you do your best to get them
Which you end up doing
Only when I reach the goals that both you and I set up

I love it when you cook me food
After games, practice, and after your work
Even though you are tired you don’t want tor see me suffer of hunger
Like you did back in Mexico
I love it you tuck me in my bed when I’m sick
It feels good when give me tea to cure my cold or whatever type of illness I have

I love how you cheer me on when I play soccer
On the sideline yelling at me to push harder and steal the ball away from someone
But when I don't give it my all
You come up with lies and tell my dad
Which he ends up making me do more work after the game

I love it when you motivate me to go further and beyond
In school or anywhere else
All you want me to do is go further than you have gone
And I understand you
I love it how I’m writing a poem about you
Because you’re the only person I trust and really love with all my heart
Aside from my father
I love you mom…

  1. I think this poem is very heartwarming and even though it does not rhythm it is still a great poem. The poem is great and I like the soccer reference part and the motivation.
