Act 1 Scene 1: The Friendship of Romeo and Benvolio

Romeo and Benvolio are cousins in the Montague Family. They are both very close and this is shown in Act 1, Scene 1 when Romeo comes out of nowhere and starts talking to Benvolio. Benvolio notices that Romeo is looking a bit depressed and asks him about it. Romeo tells Benvolio that is in love with someone (Rosaline) who does not like him back. Benvolio, being his friend, tries to give him some advice and tells him to try and forget about her. But Romeo doesn't really listen to Benvolio and still goes after Rosaline.
