Prompt A:
The Montague serving-men and the Capulet serving-men are constantly hurling insults at each other and engaging each other in sword fights. They cannot solve their problems because they cannot forgive each other for whatever the others may have done to them. In Babylon 5, two major races (Centauri, Narn) are constantly yelling at each other and doing everything they can to hurt the other side. They cannot forgive each other for past problems and want revenge for something that was a long time ago. They believe they will keep hating each other forever because of the past.
Londo (Centauri): What reasonable explanation is there be for the slaughter of unarmed civilians?
G'Kar (Narn): Curious, we wondered the same thing when you invaded our world. The wheel turns, does it not, Ambassador?
Nice comparison between Romeo and Juliet and Babylon 5. I like how you explained the situation in Babylon 5 instead of just expecting the person to know what you're talking about.
ReplyDeleteYeah!, I really like the reference there and how they both tie in on the same idea about competition to be the best.
