Act 2. Scene 2.- The Rose

Prompt C
In the balcony scene Julliet said "What's a Montague? It is nor hand, nor foot, nor arm, nor face, nor any other part. Belonging to another man. O, be some other name! What's in a name? That which we call a rose. By any other word would smell as sweet..." I really like the comparison Julliet made with a rose and the word "Montague". She was finding the deep meaning and why Montague was such a bad word to mention within her family because it was just a word that should be as sweet as any other word. I think this is when she realized that she did not care if Romeo was a Montague because she loved him and that word did not mean enough to her to separate her from Romeo.

    1. Juliet would do anything to be with Romeo but she is just upset how his last name matters so much.

  2. I agree that the comparison Juliet made to the Rose was smart.
And how she was finding a deep meaning on the word Montague, how it means nothing to her because its just a name.
