Romeo and Juliet Act 1, Scene 1 Fernando Sillas

Act 1, Scene 1    Fernando Sillas

Questions about Scene 1, Act

  1. Why do the two family's hate each other in the first place?
  2. How wealthy are both of the family's?
  3. How come the two family's keep fighting if they know there going to get intouble?
  4. This story reminds of like two celebrity families hating each other like a drama TV show.
  5. Why cant Juliet just pick who she wants to marry?

  1. 1: Who knows. Like in many long-lasting conflicts, the reason is forgotten. All people remember is their hate and the latest wave of atrocities committed by the other side.
5: Back in that time, marriage was not for love as much of the time. It was something you did to strengthen your house and make alliances.

  2. 2. Both families are they richest families in Verona and have the same amount of power.

    3. They probably keep on fighting since they hate each other so much.

  3. Juliet could not pick who she wanted to marry because back in the time of this they would assign you to who you would marry and you wouldn't get a say in who it was.
