Act 1, Scene 1, Classroom Fights

Classroom Fights

The way that the Montagues and Capulets start a fight reminds me of the way two children might start to fight. The Montagues and Capulets bring in others from their family and friends to help with the fight, just how two kids might get their friends to back them up. Eventually, the prince/the teacher has to intervene to get the fighting to stop. The prince/teacher is threatening to punish, except in Romeo and Juliet, he´s threatening them with death. Eventually the fight stops.

  1. I like this comparison because it's totally true! The principal/prince would break up the fight, and somebody would be punished for their actions.

  2. This is a very accurate example in life, especially because we are students. The fight starts with two immature students, the Montagues and the Capulets, and then it gets out of hand and the principal/teacher, or prince breaks them up.
