This represents Romeo and Juliet in the balcony scene because they are reaching for each other, figuratively and metaphorically. They both are trying to touch each other and love each other. They are also in different and opposite houses, hence the opposite hand colorings.
I think this picture does a great job to represent the scene. It does a great job to show that they want to be together, but are drawn apart when the nurse calls.
